The Ndebele rug, created by designer Sandra Figuerola for Gan Rugs, stands out for a visual configuration structured into overlapping horizontal bands. The surface is animated by geometric motifs combining lozenges, stylized arches, and block borders, developing a dynamic chromatic dialogue among green, blue, gray, and black tones.
Crafted entirely in India using a manual loom kilim technique, this piece features a flatweave structure without pile and a thickness of 6 mm. The exclusive use of 100% wool ensures a lightweight and flexible consistency, similar to that of an upholstery fabric.
Measuring 170x240 cm, the rug finds a natural placement within indoor environments such as living rooms, studies, or seating areas, enhancing both modern and traditional flooring through its strong decorative identity.
A textile artifact that combines the tradition of handweaving with contemporary geometric research.
